The National Agency for the Safety of Medicines and Health Products (ANSM) issues its recommendations to enable users to make the right choice in terms of sun protection.
For sensitive skin
What is sunscreen for people who are ultra-sensitive to the sun?
Users with “milky-white” skin with lots of freckles and red hair are considered extremely sun-sensitive people. These people are called upon to use a cream with a UVB protection factor (SPF) of 30 to 50 during their daily life and cream with an index of 50 (highest level of protection) when they practice an outdoor activity or when they go to winter sports, to the beach or in the tropics.

Protection of people sensitive to the sun
Sun-sensitive subjects include fair-skinned users with freckles and strawberry-blond or auburn hair or those who tend to get sunburned while tanning lightly. These people absolutely must not neglect the level of sun protection. ANSM recommends an SPF of 15-25 for everyday exposure, 30-50 for outdoor activity such as gardening or the beach, and 50 for extreme vulnerability in the tropics or glaciers.
