Milk, creams and emulsions
They are the most fragile of all cosmetics because they are composed of aqueous and fatty phases. But, thanks to preservatives, skincare products do not mould as quickly, fortunately, like a jar of fresh cream that has been open for a few days!

You can use your treatment for at least a year. There is a small test to know if it is still usable: look at its colour and smell it… If it tends to yellow and smells rancid, don’t hesitate to throw it away because you risk an allergy.

Good to know :

Generally, organic creams do not exceed 6 months after opening due to the absence of certain types of preservatives (such as parabens).

Others use essential oils, but they are less effective against the proliferation of microbes. In addition, they can be allergenic.
