Long, beautiful and dense eyelashes, we all dream of them! While some prefer to confine themselves to the use of mascara or false eyelashes, others will try surgery. Whether for anaesthetic or medical reasons, we give you our advice before you start.

While long eyelashes have always been considered the most beautiful, not everyone is lucky enough to have them.

The eyelash transplant allows the reconstruction of a line of eyelashes in a permanent, definitive but natural way. We operate by taking hair from the back of the skull. Depending on the thickness of the eyelashes, one can choose thinner hair.

It is a costly operation: do not risk it if you do not have the means, especially for purely aesthetic reasons!

As with any surgery, eyelash transplantation comes with some risks. Eyelashes can grow inward, scratch the eyeball and cause irritation. In the worst case, the cornea can be damaged, which would cause vision problems. Eyelash transplant can also cause infections and corneal cysts, and ulcers.

You should also know that there are people for whom the transplant is contraindicated:

  • if you suffer from obsessive eyelash pulling
  • if you have certain hair diseases, such as alopecia areata
  • if you are prone to the formation of marked scars
